According to the reporting, the Reno-Tahoe airport serving Nevadaโ€™s second-largest metro area faces a shortage of jet fuel that could force the cancellation of cargo and passenger fights, potentially restricting the flow of goods into the northern part of the state--right where GameStop is working to expand with the fulfillment center.

I imagine the demand for trucking is going to increase even more in the area, hopefully, the GameStop team has capacity for their efforts locked up already (or are in the process of getting what is needed).

The Reno airportโ€™s shortage is caused in part by a scarcity of tanker truck drivers, Stacey Sunday, a spokeswoman for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority:

โ€œThereโ€™s just nobody available to drive the trucks of fuel in here,โ€ and "itโ€™s hard to predict long the shortage will last", Sunday said.

This further lines up with what we have been covering in transportation--the industry as a whole is a down the number of people needed to move materials. This demand isn't going away either. As the articles covered, primary demand in the western region is being driven by an urgent demand from firefighting aircraft. As we have talked about before, this is unfortunately likely going to get worse.
